JENNIFER LOREDO FOUND GUILTY OF AGGRAVATED BATTERY

On March 27, 2025, Jennifer Loredo was sentenced to pay a $500 fine and serve 364 days of supervised probation. During this probation period, she is required to undergo anger management, drug and alcohol screening, and complete a Batterer’s Intervention Program. The incident leading to her sentencing occurred on August 30, 2024, when officers from the Clovis Police Department were called to Kelly’s Bar & Grill due to reports of a physical altercation in the parking lot. That evening, Ms. Loredo saw her adult daughter and granddaughter having dinner at the restaurant. She asked her daughter for permission to take her granddaughter to play pool, which her daughter gave. However, after a short time, Ms. Loredo attempted to leave the restaurant with her granddaughter without her daughter’s consent. Her daughter chased after them and confronted Ms. Loredo in the parking lot, prompting Ms. Loredo to attack her daughter physically. On March 18, 2025, Assistant District Attorney Sterling J. Bowers prosecuted the case before Judge Stephen R. Whittington in the Curry County Magistrate Court. A jury of six found Ms. Loredo guilty of aggravated battery. Sandy Gallagher represented her during the trial.
