September 25th is recognized across the country as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. This day is an opportunity for surviving family members and friends to remember, honor, and recognize their loved ones who have been lost to homicide and to be reminded of their legacy that lives on. The Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s Office would like to commemorate homicide victims and their surviving families, as well as, bring public awareness to the long-term trauma survivors and communities experience as a result of these unimaginable crimes.
