Clovis, NM – Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Quentin Ray, announced that on August 21, 2023, Tevyn Driever, age 27, of Clovis, was sentenced to 9 years in the Department of Corrections
On September 28, 2022, Officers with the Clovis Police Department received information that Driever had cut off his ankle monitor which was in a trash can near 7th and Hull. CPD officers along with the help of the Adult Probation and Parole office located Driever near Tennessee Street. A search warrant was executed for the car where Driever was found, and they discovered distribution amounts of fentanyl. A search warrant was also executed on Driever’s phone where officer’s found messages where Driever was offering to sell fentanyl.
The Honorable Judge Drew Tatum presided over the hearing and sentenced Tevyn Driever to nine (9) years in the Department of Corrections to run consecutively to the eight (8) year sentence he is currently serving for tampering with evidence related to an attempted jail escape. Driever will have a total of 17 years in the Department of Corrections to serve.
The case was prosecuted by Brett Carter, Assistant District Attorney and Driever was represented by criminal Defense Attorney, Mitch Mender, of Clovis.
